2. Which of your pieces most helped you identify or explore and develop your God-given abilities? Discuss.

The piece that really helped me identify and develop my God-given abilities was the research topic essay because that essay required us to talk about my worldview and what I believe. This essay made me think about what I like to do and what I am really passionate to talk about. This connects because it helped me identify what my God-given ability is and how I should develop it. It helped me identify that music is my God-given ability and I should improve and develop this skill to worship God.

3.Which of your pieces best demonstrates your ability to communicate effectively? Give three reasons and explain.

The piece that best demonstrated my ability to communicate effectively was probably the restaurant review. This is because I was able to clearly use adjectives to explain what I saw and ate, I used strong word choice to make the readers more captivated to my writing, and organized my writing in a way that sounds flowing and makes it easier for the readers to read it. I feel like I was able to do this in this piece of writing and it showed my ability to communicate effectively.

4. Which piece either demonstrates striving for excellence, or discusses striving for excellence and its importance in another area besides writing? Explain.

The piece that discussed striving for excellence in other areas besides writing was the interpretive poster from “The Merchant of Venice”. I had to strive to illustrate an art piece that properly portrayed the theme of the role of justice. Even though I am not an art person, I strive for excellence and did my best to illustrate a good art piece.

5. Which of your pieces explores why it is important to act as a responsible member of the global community? Explain.

The piece that made me really realize why it is important to act as a responsible member of the global community was The Kite Runner final essay. That essay was all about how keeping the truth is important to us and how lying would affect those around us. This tells us how we should act to be a responsible member of the global community.

6. How did this course help you to know, understand, and apply biblical principles? Explain, giving specific
examples.

After writing different types of writings throughout the year in this course, I have learned how to understand biblical principles and apply them to my writing. For example, the most recent essay of The Kite Runner, I have learned about what the Bible said about truth and how I could apply that to my writing.

7. How did this course help you to think independently, creatively, and analytically? Explain.

This course helped me think independently by having to write all the essays by myself without much help in the beginning. I had to make sure that I was able to write my essay independently without any help or guidance. This course helped me think creatively by having to think of good adjectives to portray my thinking and make sure that my readers are absorbed into my reading. I had to think more creatively and made my essays even more interesting. This course helped me think analytically by having to understand what the research is saying and how I am able to include it to my research topic.
